Cayman: DES awaits outcome of CXC Investigation
The Department of Education Services (DES) is awaiting the outcome of the Caribbean Examination Council’s (CXC’s) investigation into concerns that the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Mathematics Paper 2, which was written (17 May), was breached in some Caribbean countries.
“While at this point there is no report that there was a breach here in the Cayman Islands, we are deeply concerned about these allegations and their implications for students who sat the mathematics exam. We will be closely monitoring the situation and we will update the relevant candidates as soon as a decision is made on the way forward by CXC,” DES Director Mark Ray assures.
