Fresh off the blur of an activity packed 72 hours, the PERFECT 10 are back on Grand Cayman, a little tired but a whole lot of happy for having spent some time in the Brac this past weekend.

Arriving last Thursday evening chaperoned by the Miss Cayman chairperson and other members of the committee, the contestants spent most of the day visiting the Faith Hospital and the Kirkconnell Care Center on Friday. The visit to the Brac was the first for two of the contestants. However, all of the ladies really enjoyed the opportunity to talk with and share their time with patients, residents and staff at both facilities. Later that day, the ladies were pleased to be able to sit in on the 9th Award Ceremony at the Layman E. Scott High School.

Timing is always everything and quite by “accident”, the girls managed to check in on a football match between teams from Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. Grand Cayman won, next time is yours Cayman Brac!

The highlight of the trip was the fashion show at the Aston Rutty Civic Center on Saturday night. Our ten beauties looked pretty and poised while they posed and modeled casual and formal wear. The evening’s excellent entertainment was provided by Brac Koalition and Quincy Brown and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the well-attended event.

The busy weekend culminated with an island tour on Sunday and the ladies really appreciated time to enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful vibe of the sister island.

Miss Cayman 2014 Chairperson, Ms. Derri Dacres-Lee, had this to say. “The visit to the Brac enabled the contestants to bond with each other and become more acquainted with the sister Island. The fashion show gave them some practice for the pageant night and assisted with their development. As usual the visit to the Brac was very welcoming. We look forward to including Little Cayman on future visits”.
