100+ Women Who Care Cayman Islands raised $7,200 for local charities
Meals on Wheels wins big prize of $5,200
George Town – On August 16, 2022 100+ Women Who Care held their second event of this year at the Marriott with the target of making an impact within the Cayman community. Meals on Wheels won the main pot of $5,200 donated by our members. Both Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Alex Panton Foundation left with $1,000 thanks to our platinum sponsor Get Nailed & More. In total, the event raised $7,200.
At the start of the evening, after donating $100 CI, all women were welcomed with a raffle ticket, a voting card, a limited-edition member t-shirt sponsored by Caribbean Creations, Vintage & Invenio Global, and a free drink crafted by this year’s drink sponsor KonTiki Liquor store. While catching up with friends and making new acquaintances during the social hour, members also had the opportunity to browse and buy from a pop-up night market full of local businesses showcasing their services and products.
At 7pm everyone moved to the ballroom where Daisy Lee, our emcee for the evening, started off the 5-minute charity presentations. Jennifer West presented for Meals on Wheels, Angela Martins for Big Brother Big Sisters, and Dr. Erica Lam for the Alex Panton Foundation. After their time was up, all members voted for their favorite to win and the volunteers counted up the cash and votes behind the scenes whilst so many raffle prizes were awarded and we topped up our refreshments at the Marriott bar. Gold Sponsor Davenport donated towards our costs for the evening which helped make it a special evening at such a beautiful venue.

About 100+ Women Who Care Cayman Islands
100+ Women Who Care Cayman Islands is a giving circle that started in 2015 and is affiliated with the 100 Who Care Alliance in the US. The group gathers three to four times a year for a one-hour meeting, and each member brings their donation of CI$100 that goes to the selected charity. This combined donation of $10,000+ makes a real impact, without time-consuming fundraising events and planning. Thanks to members, local businesses and volunteers, the organization has raised over $330,000 for Cayman charities. In addition to fundraising for great causes, 100+ Women Who Care Cayman Islands also provides a fun and relaxed networking opportunity for women living in Cayman.
