For the eastern North Pacific…east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A weak area of low pressure located about 850 miles south-southwest
of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing
disorganized cloudiness and showers. Gradual development of this
system is possible before upper-level winds become unfavorable for
development by the middle of next week. This system is expected to
move west-northwestward across the open eastern Pacific during the
next several days.

* Formation chance through 5 days…medium…40 percent.

Moderate to fresh northeasterly winds and seas will continue across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours. Isolated showers are expected over the next 24 hours t as a broad surface trough lingers over the northwest Caribbean. Radar images show scattered showers in and around the Cayman area, which are moving towards the west to southwest.
