Chikungunya update as of July 11th 2014

• Total number of cases investigated / under investigation for chikungunya is four (including the first confirmed case).

• Two are residents of George Town and two from Cayman Brac. All four persons have travel history to endemic areas with chikungunya.

• Test results are available for three of the four investigated cases.

• Of these, two test results are positive (one from George Town and one from Cayman Brac). The other test result is negative (from George Town).

• One test result is pending for a resident of Cayman Brac.
