Caribbean nations”, stated Cheryl Robeson, Founder of World Orphans Day and The Stars Foundation.

Robeson continues, “Every two seconds, a child becomes an orphan. Ninety nine percent of the orphaned children are never adopted. Orphanages in third world countries are educating, feeding and supporting to the best of their abilities, but more effort needs to be exerted by the global community. We are calling on the stars of Hollywood, NASCAR and Country Music to bring awareness of the plight of children around the world“.

Iceman Production is filming part of the television series, VETERAN RIDERS, and Ambassador of Goodwill Geoff Bodine, one of the top 50 NASCAR DRIVERS of all time, will be on hand to assist with the television programming and event that will focus on TAPS as their beneficiary for the children in need in the USA.

While thousands of churches and organizations seek prayer from their memberships in Africa and India, a young AIDS orphan activist, brings her event to the forefront in Kenya. From Nairobi, Scars to Stars founder, Catherine Gitonga, an AIDS orphan from childhood, hosts a proclamation ceremony, with Ms. Scott Gration, the wife of the former US Ambassador to Kenya, to serve as the Honorary Chairwoman of the World Orphans Day, Nairobi event.

“The concern of NGO’s, the UN agencies, and faith‐based nonprofit entities worldwide is that there are not enough resources being allocated from governments and corporations to provide solutions to the hunger problem of street children, displaced children and orphans. Community based support programs in the third world must be expanded by governments and the corporate sector. We encourage the UN goals as set forth by the World Food Programmes Project Lazer Beam to eradicate hunger and child malnutrition,” said Cheryl Robeson.

“We truly appreciate the work of our celebrity ambassadors, the sponsors and production teams including; R&R Partners, Las Vegas Events, American Legion, Lamar Billboards, Sky Angel Television, Rolling Thunder Charities, Iceman Productions, Gordon Law Group, Ultimate Promotions, Silent Images, Software Runners, Patriot Guard, the record industry in Nashville, and songwriters contributing their songs for The World Orphans Day CD in development. We have been blessed with the support given by event organizers and the blue chip corporate sector that have united their forces in aid of this cause”, stated the Executive Producer, Roger Piggott, Iceman Productions, agency of record for World Orphans Day.
