2023 Inter-Primary Cricket Competition: Week 4 Review

East End Primary score another century in the 2023 Inter-Primary Cricket Competition
With their bats on fire, the boys from East End Primary secured a fourth victory in the 2023 Inter-Primary Cricket Competition hitting their third straight century to top Zone A, an accomplishment not often duplicated.
Results from week three included:
Zone A Girls: Theoline L. McCoy Primary defeated Cayman Prep B 56 runs to 48 runs, Joanna Clarke Primary got past Edna Moyle Primary 65 runs to 54 runs and East End Primary beat Sir John A. Cumber Primary A 44 runs to 43 runs. Cayman Academy was not scheduled to play.
Zone B Girls: St. Ignatius Catholic beat Prospect Primary 44 runs to 43 runs, Cayman Prep A out-muscled Red Primary 57 runs to 56 runs and Sir John A. Cumber Primary B got past George Town Primary 62 runs to 58 runs. Cayman International School (CIS) was not scheduled to play.
Zone A Boys: East End Primary defeated Theoline L. McCoy Primary 153 runs to 49 runs, Cayman Academy beat Edna Moyle Primary 84 runs to 78 runs and Joanna Clarke Primary downed Cayman Prep B 73 runs to 66 runs.
Zone B Boys: St. Ignatius Catholic beat Prospect Primary 65 runs to 64 runs, Cayman Prep A defeated Red Bay Primary 67 runs to 63 runs and Sir John A. Cumber Primary outlasted George Town Primary 93 runs to 53 runs.
Round 5 of the 2023 season continues this Friday, June 2 with a full schedule of games including:
Zone A Girls: Joanna Clarke Primary vs. Theoline L. McCoy Primary (at Theoline L. McCoy Primary), Sir John A. Cumber Primary A vs. Cayman Prep B (at the Annex Field) and Cayman Academy vs. East End Primary (at Edna Moyle Primary). Edna Moyle Primary is not scheduled to play.
Zone B Girls: Red Bay Primary vs. St. Ignatius Catholic (at Red Bay Primary), Sir John A. Cumber Primary B vs. Prospect Primary (at Sir John A. Cumber Primary) and CIS vs. George Town Primary (at CIS). Cayman Prep A is not scheduled to play.
Zone A Boys: Joanna Clarke Primary vs. Theoline L. McCoy Primary (at Theoline L. McCoy Primary), Cayman Academy vs. Cayman Prep B (at the Annex Field) and Edna Moyle Primary vs. East End Primary (at Edna Moyle Primary).
Zone B Boys: Red Bay Primary vs. St. Ignatius Catholic (at Red Bay Primary), Sir John A. Cumber vs. Prospect Primary (at Sir John A. Cumber Primary) and CIS vs. George Town Primary (at CIS). Cayman Prep A is not scheduled to play.
The second Inter-Primary Girls Cricket Rally took place on Thursday, May 25 at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex. Defending champions Cayman Prep overcame the heat to retain their title defeating East End Primary in the final. Sir John A. Cumber Primary finished third with Red Bay Primary grabbing fourth spot.
The Inter-Primary Cricket Competition is organised and coordinated by the Department of Education Services and the Department of Sports and sponsored by CUC and the Cayman Cricket Association.
