The fifth season of the Super Trofeo Esports kicks off with the opening of the Automobili Lamborghini’s new TikTok Channel

Sant’Agata Bolognese, 23 April 2024 – Automobili Lamborghini inaugurates the 2024 season of The Real Race, its premier Esports initiative. This global platform is designed not only to showcase the prowess of virtual drivers worldwide but also to bridge the gap between virtual racing and real-world track experiences. Through Automobili Lamborghini’s integrated approach, the aim is to scout and nurture emerging talents, providing them with opportunities to transition into real-world motorsport via the esteemed Young Driver Program.

It is by looking at new talents and new generations that Automobili Lamborghini chooses to open a new TikTok channel on this day: Lamborghini Next. This social channel is aimed at emphasizing projects such as the Esports championship, the entire gaming world, virtual reality, the metaverse and any initiative that affirms and enhances the look to the future that has always distinguished the brand.

Super Trofeo Esports – The Gateway to Professional Racing

The fifth season of the Super Trofeo Esports kicks off featuring the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 and thrilling new tracks racing on Assetto Corsa Competizione, developed by Kunos Simulazioni, the season promises excitement and intense competition. This championship extends across three continents, where elite competitors engage in fierce battles in a hybrid format of on-site and online races.

EU region drivers will embark on a four-round online series, beginning with a hot stint competition that leads into standalone racing qualifications. Similarly, competitors in the NALA and APAC regions will proceed through a hot stint qualification to a Regional Final, showcasing the top 24 drivers. The most skilled will advance to the on-site finals at Jerez de la Frontera on site during the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals where the best driver will not only have the opportunity to compete on simulators equipped with MOZA Racing peripherals in order to join the Lamborghini Esports Team and participate in the Young Driver Program for the 2025 Season, but they will also live a true Lamborghini racing experience within the paddock.

New Esports Challenge – A New Era in Racing

Continuing our collaboration with Gameloft, the third installment of the New Esports Challenge remains a critical component of The Real Race platform. This year, the challenge will feature a brand new car model, with details and registration dates to be announced later. Held within the Asphalt Legends Unite mobile game, the challenge includes unique time trial events across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Microsoft/Xbox, and for the first time, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation). The top players will qualify as finalists, and they will compete in a direct elimination phase in the physical finals at the Lamborghini World Finals, in Jerez de la Frontera, in November.

Lamborghini Esports Team

Automobili Lamborghini’s newly formed Esports team, featuring established talents such as David Tonizza, Dario Iemmulo winner of the Real Race / Super Trofeo Esports 2023, and Daniel Savini, is set to defend Lamborghini’s heritage of performance both in virtual contests and on real tracks. Not only in Italy, but the Automobili Lamborghini Esports Team also expands across the ocean with Skyler Loverink from the USA and Jyeed Hutchinson from Canada. The team’s main commitment this year will be the SRO Esports’ Intercontinental GT Esports Series, which will start in June and continue until the end of the year through 6 races.
For the first time ever, the 2024 Esports team will join their real world colleagues at Jerez de la Frontera in the Young Driver Program giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills on the real tracks.
