Prince William and Duchess Kate began a celebrated visit to the United States on Sunday. Their three-day plans include meeting with President Barack Obama, attending an NBA game with Beyonce and Jay Z, visiting charities and paying their respects to the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York City.
Their trip follows a long tradition of Royal Family visits stateside. Here, a brief history since 1920.
