GGILMA REMAINS A MAJOR HURRICANE OVER OPEN WATERS

SYNOPSIS

An increase in cloudiness and showers is expected from this afternoon as a tropical wave moves over the Cayman Islands. The tropical wave is expected to move west of the area by this evening however, lingering moisture is expected to continue supporting isolated showers through tonight. Moderate winds and seas are also expected cross the Cayman area over the next 24 hours.

Today:  Partly cloudy . Winds E 10- 15 mph.

Tonight:  Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight. Winds E 5 – 10 mph

Sea: Slight with a wave height of 1 to 3 feet.
