26-year-old female charged with aggravated burglary – disorderly conduct and threats to kill

At approximately 10 am on Friday, 18th April 2014, a female intruder was disturbed at an address in Greenwood Drive, George Town by the male occupant. The female threatened the occupier with a knife before making off on foot from the premises. Police officers responded and arrested a 26-year-old female in the vicinity, and she was taken to the George Town Police Station.
Following subsequent Police enquiries, the female has been charged with aggravated burglary and two further counts of burglary, disorderly conduct and threats to kill a police officer. She is due to appear before the Summary Court today, Monday, 22nd April 2014. The two other burglaries were committed during the past two weeks at Greenwood Drive and School House Road, George Town.
During the police investigation, a knife and a number of stolen articles were recovered.
Detective Sergeant Sean Bryan of the Burglary Team is appealing for any other victims whose premises may have been burglarized in those areas (Greenwood Drive and School House Road), who have not reported the matters to the Police to contact him at the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
DS Bryan stated that the burglary offences involved premises left unsecured and are specifically targeted for this reason, whether occupants are home or not.
