SYNOPSIS

Scattered showers are expected across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours as excessive moisture lingering over the northwest Caribbean interacts with a stationary front. A gradual decrease is expected from tomorrow afternoon as the front drifts southeast of our area. Fresh easterly winds and rough seas will continue across the Cayman area for the next few days due to a strong pressure gradient over the northwest Caribbean. Radar images show scat showers in and around the Cayman area drift WNW.

Today:  Variable clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon hour. Winds ENE 15-25 mph

Tonight:  Cloudy skies this evening followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight. Winds ENE 10-20 mph

Sea: Moderate to rough with a wave height of 5 to 7 feet. Small craft should exercise caution over open water.
