2nd Water related death in 3 days on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

The 62-year-old man who was snorkeling off of Coconut Bay Villas, North West Point, West Bay yesterday has deceased.
About 1:30 pm yesterday (Tue Mar 4), the deceased, his wife and sister went snorkeling off of Coconut Bay Villas. They snorkeled out near to the drop-off. Returning to shore, they were having a conversation as they swam. When they reached about fifteen feet from the shore line, about 2:06 pm, the deceased stopped talking, and his wife then noticed that he was floating with his head out of the water and his eyes half opened and rolled back. The wife signaled for help. He was pulled out of the water, and a friend administered CPR until the EMT arrived and continued CPR. Subsequently, the deceased was transported to the George Town Hospital and admitted to the Critical Care Unit and placed on life-support.
At about 4:08 am this morning, 05th March 2014, the deceased was pronounced dead. He can now be named as Charles Lee MC New of Pennsylvania, USA. The deceased, his wife, sister and brother-in-law arrived on island on 01st March 2014 on vacation.

About mid this afternoon, a 62-year-old man who is visiting the island was snorkeling behind Coconut Bay Villas in the vicinity of the Cracked Conch, West Bay when he got into difficulties. A further update will follow pending further information.

On Sunday 2nd March 2014 Timothy Denver Mullin aged 46-years-old of Etobikoe, Toronto, Ontario, Canada was found dead in about twenty feet of water motionless on the ocean floor in the vicinity of Eden Rock. He had gone snorkeling from the shore alone.
This is the fourth water related death this year.
