UPDATE: 3 Incidents reported – robbery/SHOTS FIRED/death

UPDATE INCIDENT 2 – Shots Fired on Water Course Road [vicinity SuperC’s Restaurant]
Further enquiries by the Police regarding reports of shots being discharged on Watercourse Road on August 23rd , 2014, have revealed that a bullet hole was discovered in the plywood signage which is located to the rear of Super C’s Restaurant.
An additional number of spent shells were also found in front of a residence on Jefferson Road and on Topaz Lane. The home on Topaz Lane was also struck by what appeared to be a bullet.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the shootings.
Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing.

Incident 1 – Incident at Quality Place Apartments
Around 2:54 pm on the 8/22/14, a report was received from 911 that two armed males had entered an apartment on New Port Avenue, while the occupants were home and demanded money and a phone.
No shots were fired nor were there any injuries as a result of the incident.
The descriptions of the assailants were as follows:
Suspect 1: Slim built 5 ft 10 in Light complexion Wearing a Dark Grey T- Shirt and dark blue ¾ jeans pants, with a black cloth covering his head. Spoke with a Caymanian Accent
Suspect 2: Medium built 5 ft 7 in Dark complexion Wearing a Grey T – Shirt and ¾ black jeans pants, with a black cloth covering his head Both suspects were carrying handguns which were Silver in colour.

Incident 2 – Shots Fired on Water Course Road
Around 4:52 am on the 23rd August 2014, 911 received a call that gun shots had been heard on Watercourse Road, West Bay.
Police Units were dispatched to the location, where it was determined that a firearm had been discharged in the vicinity of Super C’s Restaurant.
A number of spent shells were recovered at the scene.
No one was injured in the shooting.

Sudden Death in George Town
On the 8/22/14 around 10:04 pm, 911 received a report that a 58 year old male had been found by a roommate hung from a door in his apartment and was unconscious.
Emergency Response Units responded to the scene, but were unable to revive him.
At 12:20 am, the victim was pronounced dead on his arrival at the hospital and transported to the morgue.
Further enquiries are being carried out by the George Town CID in regards to the incident.
