For the North Atlantic…Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. A weak, non-tropical area of low pressure located about 1000 miles
east-southeast of Bermuda is producing scattered showers and
thunderstorms, mainly well to the northeast and southeast of the
low. Strong upper-level winds and dry air are expected to limit
any subtropical or tropical cyclone development during the next
couple of days while the system meanders over the central Atlantic
Ocean between Bermuda and the Azores.

* Formation chance through 5 days…low…20 percent.

Synopsis

Moderate northeasterly winds and seas will continue across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours in association with a high pressure system over the Gulf of Mexico. Weather chart also show a stationary front east of the Cayman area. Radar images show scattered showers to the southeast of Grand Cayman moving southwest.
