3rd Annual Camana Bay Christmas Give
Camana Bay, Grand Cayman: Now in its third year, the Camana Bay Christmas Give continues to inspire community spirit, providing convenient opportunities for Camana Bay visitors to support a number of local charities whose efforts help to ensure that every family in the Cayman Islands has a wonderful Christmas.
“Dart has always been committed to supporting the local community,” explains Ken Hydes, Vice President of Special Projects for Dart Realty. “We wanted to expand upon the company’s ongoing efforts by fostering an island-wide spirit of giving. The Christmas Give is a way for us to come together and make giving an integral part of holiday preparations and festivities in Camana Bay.”
This year’s Christmas Give will aid the initiatives of many hardworking organisations. It’s easy to make giving back part of Christmas traditions with so many ways to get involved:
Pick up a Cayman’s ARK shopping bag from The Discovery Centre and bring it back full of non- perishable goodies for a family’s Christmas feast. Cayman’s ARK provides food and gifts for hundreds of struggling families through the Giving Is Receiving project. They have 1,000 bags to fill this year.
Select an ornament from the Camana Bay Wish Tree and help CAYS and Children & Family Services restore a child’s faith in Santa Claus by purchasing a gift. CAYS empowers at-risk youth through two residential homes, rehabilitative programmes and educational support. Similarly, Children & Family Services offers therapeutic services and community based programmes for vulnerable children and families.
Send your Santa Letter to the North Pole with a special $1 stamp from Mail Boxes Etc. to benefit Feed Our Future. Feed Our Future delivers nutritionally balanced meals to children in need in public and private schools throughout our islands.
Donate money at participating Town Centre merchants or purchase a Santa Photos package and Picture This will donate $1 on your behalf. Funds raised will be matched by Camana Bay and split among Maple House, NCVO and Sunrise Adult Training Centre. Maple House provides 24-hour shelter, care and supervision to a small group of young adults with disabilities and special needs. NCVO offers care and education to children and families in need of support. And Sunrise Adult Training Centre provides training, support and services for the empowerment, employment and independence of adults with disabilities.
