What’s Coming to Punta Cana: Sanctuary Cap Cana to Reopen Fall 2018

After closing to undergo extensive enhancements, the adults-only Sanctuary Cap Cana is slated to reopen fall 2018. Situated on the coveted eastern tip of the island, Sanctuary Cap Cana spans more than 20 tropical acres, including 2,100 feet of pristine oceanfront. The renovation, overseen by Carrillo Projects Co., will touch every corner of the resort. While carefully restoring the properties fine architectural features, the transformation will also introduce completely reimagined guest rooms and enhanced public spaces, including the lobby, dining outlets and spa, as well as two new towers housing 140 additional suites, when it reopens later this year.

What’s Coming to Key Largo: Baker’s Cay Resort to Open in Fall 2018

Baker’s Cay Resort, a new upscale beachfront oasis carved into Key Largo’s most lush and secluded region, debuts this fall. Upon unveiling, the 200-room resort will boast two swimming pools separated by a cascading waterfall grotto; Aveda salon; four dining outlets including beachside taco-and-tequila eatery with one of the largest collection of house-made hot sauces; cozy library filled with vintage paper-backs; winding nature trail; boating dock; full pet-welcoming amenities including doggie tikis, curated bone menus and more. Located on the Gulf side of the Overseas Highway, this beachfront resort is tucked away on 13 acres of lush tropical groves and provides exclusive access to one of the most secluded white-sand beaches in the area. Situated on a former pineapple plantation previously owned by the hotel’s namesake Captain Ben Baker, the retreat is supporting the local environment through a vast list of initiatives like coral restoration with the world’s largest coral reef foundation and collaborative efforts with Dolphin Plus Marine Mammal Responders to rehabilitate dolphins in the wild.

What’s Coming to The British Virgin Islands: Oil Nut Bay Launching Major Openings in 2018

One year after hurricane Irma, Oil Nut Bay will unveil a seven new villas available for rent, a complete Marina Village, a new boutique spa and a redesigned welcome pavilion featuring a new resort pool, bar and lounge. Available for rent this December, The Bay Suites($500/night) are four one-bedroom villas that sit mountainside and feature private terraces and outdoor showers.  Soon after the Bay Suites launch will be the highly-anticipated opening of Oil Nut Bay’s Marina Village, which is accessible to the public and will be home to the property’s second casual dining restaurant, locally-sourced boutiques and more. Come 2019, The Marina Village will also be home to three new villas available to rent.

What’s Coming to Belize: Alaia Belize to Open in 2020

Set amidst the beautiful and culturally rich southern part of Ambergris Caye island, Alaia Belize is the newest boutique community resort and residential property debuting as the FIRST Marriott International Autograph Collection property in the country. An ideal balance between high-end living and barefoot luxury, the idyllic beachfront resort will sit on 20 acres and feature 112 hotel room, 56 two-bedroom condominiums and eight oceanfront villas available for purchase. Conceived by visionary developer Andrew Ashcroft to echo, embrace the Belizean spirit, Alaia will boast world-class amenities including a beach club, rooftop suspended pool and lounge (a first for Belize), full-service spa, fitness center, kids club, dive shop and live art gallery. Drawing inspiration from its natural surroundings, the eco-luxury property will feature interiors by renowned Brazilian designer Debora Aguiar (who is known for her eco-luxury aesthetics) to feature approximately 70 percent of fabrics and raw materials from Belize, including rustic marbles and stones, reclaimed wood, linen curtains, textured beige walls and earth-toned hues to complement the awe-inspiring views of the Caribbean Sea.

What’s Coming to Turks and Caicos: Rock House to Open in 2020

Inspired by the glamorous beach resorts of the French Riviera, Grace Bay Resorts is creating its own version of a Mediterranean rendezvous overlooking the glittering sea with the first residential resort tucked into the rugged, untouched limestone cliffs of Providenciales’ north shore. AD100 interior designer Shawn Henderson and local Coast Architects will incorporate elements of Rock House’s natural surroundings into its Capri-inspired design. Homes will boast spa-like outdoor shower gardens and feature walls made of the limestone below as well as 13-foot vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors and private pools. Amenities will include a quarry pool that will blend into the site’s natural beauty and will be carved directly out of the limestone (a first for Turks and Caicos), a decadently private beach, beach club jetty, signature restaurant and 100-foot infinity pool.
