72% Americans oppose Congress banning semi-automatic weapons says latest poll

NewsmaxIn a poll executed by Newsmax, a conservative American news media organization founded by Christopher W. Ruddy and based in West Palm Beach, Florida, it shows to date (Wed Jan 23 2013) 77% of Americans would not be in favour of Congress banning semi-automatic weapons.

72% of Americans do not think the federal government should regulate guns of any type, 80% believe President Obama should not ban or strictly control the sale of semi-automatic weapons and 81% agree that the Second Amendment gives citizens the right to own and bear guns without infringement.

The poll asked the question “Should Obama’s gun ban be approved?

Readers were invited to vote on line.
