The Editor Speaks: Flu hits me hard
I almost never get influenza. I rarely get a cold.
I used to suffer with bronchitis but haven’t had for 15 years.
I ignored the warnings.
Even though the Public Health Officials in Cayman have warned persons, especially the elderly (like me) to get your FREE flu shot, I paid no heed.
I can tell you I have never felt so weak, so miserable, so ugh…… and for so long.
The sheer effort in writing this Editorial after two days of being on a drip each morning, plus an injection in my bum, is now adding to my feeling of misery.
The Cayman Islands Hospital have been warning us to get a shot and prevent –“Arm Yourself” is their message.
If you haven’t done so I urge you to get your shot.
The joke though and there is no proof but…..
A week and a half ago I was at the George Town Hospital getting some results for some tests I had done 4 weeks earlier…. Two days later all this misery started….
Now don’t you all feel sorry for me.
Joan is already threatening divorce…..
PS To add more to my misery I now have an infection! I really am now very P***** Off!!
I’m sure your readers are happy you survived it and are back in fighting form! Stay well!
