Maples raises more than $8,000 for Feed our Future
On Friday, 23 May more than 150 staff from Maples and Calder and MaplesFS participated in the island-wide dress down day in support of Feed Our Future. Each donning this year’s purple T-Shirt, the participants raised more than US$8,000 for the local charity.
“We are pleased that so many in the Maples group chose to support the work of Feed Our Future again this year,” said Paul Lumsden, Managing Partner of Maples and Calder’s Cayman Islands office. “By participating in the dress down day, in addition to fundraising, they also helped raise awareness of the issue of childhood hunger in our community.”
Feed our Future is a not for profit association whose primary mission is to solve childhood hunger and to support intellectual nourishment in the Cayman Islands through the funding of nutritionally balanced low cost or free school meals to children in need in public and private schools thereby serving a dual purpose of enriching the learning potential and health of the child and reducing the burden on the community that supports them. Feed our Future was established in mid-2011.
