Mrs. Beavley Powery has joined the small group of Caymanian centenarians.

Born on November 14, 1911 she celebrated her 100th birthday last Monday at a party with friends and family at the Church of God Full Gospel Hall  in George Town.

Several friends and family of Mrs. Beavley spoke of not just a long life, but a life well-lived as a great example to her peers and the younger generation.

Marjorie Ebanks, her 2nd cousin said: “We praise the Lord for the many years He has given her.  This was not her choice; this was not her plan; this was not within her power.”
