Kerran suspect released
The man arrested on suspicion of murdering a Kerran Baker has been released from custody on police bail.
The 35-year-old suspect was taken into custody on 16 November on suspicion of killing the 25-year-old nurse. Ms Baker disappeared the evening of 30 July and has not been heard from since.
He was arrested following a police operation in the Admiral’s Landing area in Prospect.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has never found her body. They say enquires are continuing.
Kerran has not been seen July. Her car was later found on wasteland near Pedro’s Castle.
Officers launched a huge search and checked records from her Blackberry as Kerran was an active BBM user, police said.
A spokesman for the RCIPS: “We can confirm that the 35-year-old man has now been released on police bail. Police enquiries continue.”
