Cayman Clinic burglary – Burglary team appeals for witnesses and information/Don’t drink & drive

Burglars broke into Cayman Clinic 439 Crewe Road, George Town by smashing the windows between 10:00 pm and 6:50 am yesterday and this morning, respectively. There was a significant disruption caused to all medical services at the location today and inconvenience caused to medical patients. Damages to windows, office furniture, general and specialist medical supplies were caused by the burglars.
Items stolen include blank prescription forms and medical sick note certificates, cash (amount unknown). Members of the public, professional medical staff and employers on Island are asked to be vigilant in checking any such produced documents bearing Cayman Clinic details and report suspected fraudulent forms produced and any information pertaining to the incident to DC 364 Berns of the Burglary Team, George Town Police Station at 324-0683 or Crime Stoppers 800-8477(TIPS).

RCIPS urges motorist to exercise responsible judgment if attending bars or private social functions during this Sunday world-cup final, where alcohol may be consumed.
Superintendent Robert Scotland states, “It is better to call a cab or have a friend drive you home than unnecessarily endangering yourself and others by driving under the influence of alcohol. It is ok for you to go out and enjoy the final, but we want you to be safe on the roadways.”
