Hosted by Financial Research Associates, the conference will be chaired by Decosimo’s Domestic and International Principal Karl Jordan, CPA, CGMA. Decosimo Assurance Principal Renee Ford will serve as one of the presenters at the conference which will focus on approaches to develop cost-efficient and compliant plans for private equity funds and hedge funds.

Ford will present the session entitled “Successfully Addressing Key Valuation Issues for Hedge Funds.” The lessons learned from implementing ASU 2011-11 and ASU 2013-11 and an overview of how new disclosures are covered in financial statements will be among the topics addressed during her session.

Ford is a principal in Decosimo’s assurance practice and has over 23 years experience in public accounting in both assurance and taxation. She practices primarily in the area of financial statement audits under both U.S. and international audit and accounting standards with emphasis on investment entities, captive insurance companies and healthcare.

She is the primary assurance principal involved with the firm’s offshore engagements handled in the Cayman Island office and has obtained certification in International Financial Reporting Standards to enhance her expertise in the international market.
