Miss Cayman pays courtesy call on Ministry of Tourism

Ministry Officials meet Miss Cayman 3Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (4 February, 2015) The newly crowned Miss Cayman, Tonie Chisholm, has kicked off what promises to be an action packed and fun filled year ahead, by paying a courtesy call to the Ministry of Tourism.

Following a warm welcome by Hon. Moses Kirkconnell, Minister for Tourism and Councillor Joey Hew, Miss Cayman was introduced to Chief Officer Stran Bodden and given a brief tour of the Ministry to meet staff members.

Ministry Staff with Miss cayman 2“It is an absolute pleasure to have Miss Cayman as our guest,” stated Minister Kirkconnell. “As our Islands most recognised goodwill Ambassador, the Ministry and Department of Tourism will occasionally call upon Miss Cayman to join us in promoting the Cayman Islands at consumer and media events. I am therefore very pleased that our Ministry staff has had this opportunity to personally meet Miss Chisholm, and we look forward to working with her to showcase the Cayman Islands, particularly at an international level,” he said.

Miss Cayman was accompanied on her visit to the Ministry of Tourism by Mrs. Derri Dacres-Lee, Chairperson of the Miss Cayman Islands Committee.
