What does 4000+ attendees + 28 food vendors + 9 liquor vendors + 200 volunteers + 5 bands + 1 huge field equal? A FANTASTIC 2015 Taste of Cayman Food & Wine Festival, that’s what!

The curtains have closed on another amazing Festival, and we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, vendors, partners, volunteers and patrons for supporting CITA’s annual fundraising event, and making it even bigger and tastier than ever!

From Godzilla sushi rolls to tiramisu to lobster burrata salads to pad thai to conch chowder to jerk pork to funnel cakes to Haagen Dazs milkshakes, there was something for every palate! You may not have been able to taste everything but our secret ‘Best Of’ Judges did, and they had some very tough decisions to make. CAYMAN’S FAVOURITE RESTAURANT

The people have spoken again…and again…and again! Armed with a wooden token, thousands of Festival-goers voted Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink their favourite restaurant for the THIRD year in a row! Maybe it was the pan-seared lionfish with local ackee and seasoned pepper vinaigrette…or was it the slow roasted local goat with local calabaza and long bean salad? Perhaps it was the warm doughnuts with local passion fruit curd. We think it was all of that combined with the enthusiasm of the MGFD staff. Congratulations again!

Congratulations to Anthony Lawson and his assistant chef Cody Bush who won the Bon Vivant Chef Cook Off serving up a trigger and parrot fish ceviche with an Asian twist served in a local cucumber boat. Lawson and Bush competed against Gina Connolly and assistant Phil Cassingham who prepared lionfish fritters, homemade tartar sauce with scotch bonnets, garnished with season pepper and papaya .
