On Friday 6 March 2015 about 9:20pm, there was a report of a robbery in progress at Maedac Supercentre on Crewe Road, Grand Cayman.

A lone suspect entered the establishment and brandished a machete at the clerk; he pushed a male employee and eventually grabbed cash from the register and exited the building.

He appears to be of light brown complexion, of average height , slim built, and possibly with a  ponytail. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, dark colored long pants, dark colored mask and gloves.

He was last seen on foot towards the rear of the premises as he made his escape.

A search of the immediate and surrounding areas was conducted however, the suspect was not located.

No one was injured in the incident.

The RCIPS is asking for any person who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact DC Stewart at 949 4222 or Crime Stoppers at 800 TIPS .
