This was a unique and exciting experience for the students as they viewed the different images and sculptors of foraminifera. The students were also excited to view the artwork of one of Triple C’s Alumni, Davin Ebanks, who was the creator of the sculpture pieces of the foraminifera. Davin Ebanks graduated in 1993 and went on to pursue degrees in Art. One of Davin’s own pieces stands in front of the National Gallery as a perfect example of the great art that is made in Cayman by Caymanians.

Mrs. Charlotte Kelly, Science teacher at Triple C School said, “The beauty of a sand exhibit at the National Gallery is that the gallery has done an outstanding job of creating a learning space that is interdisciplinary. The trip provided my students with an education of the economics of sand, the detailed art of His creation at the micro level, and the science of sand.”
