2 April Autism Awareness Day
The Special Needs Foundation of Cayman will be at Camana Bay from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to raise awareness for Autism Awareness Day. Come and get information on supporting autistic children in the Cayman Islands. Wear blue to school or work and donate $5 to the charitable foundation. 3 – 6 April DVDL Sets Easter Hours
The Department of Vehicle & Drivers’ Licensing’s offices in George Town and West Bay will remain closed throughout the long Easter weekend from Friday 3 April to Monday, 6 April, including Saturday 4 April.
In West Bay, to accommodate the limited hours during the Easter holidays, the office will open on Monday, 13 April, from 10am until 6 pm, a day on which it is usually closed.
Both offices will resume regular office hours on Tuesday, 7 April.
3 April No Garbage Collection
No garbage collection and disposal on Good Friday
From Cayman Islands Department of Environmental Health
The public is being advised that there will be no scheduled garbage collections and that all landfills will be closed to the public on Good Friday, which will be observed on 3 April, states Department of Environmental Health (DEH) officials. Residents should make provisions to manage their waste until collected.
In Grand Cayman, regular solid waste operations at the George Town Landfill will resume on Saturday, 4 April, and residential garbage normally scheduled for collection on Friday 3 April will be collected on Saturday 4 April (Will T Drive to Bodden Town, Midland Acres to East End / North Side and all side roads).
On Cayman Brac (Spot Bay area and the Bluff) and Little Cayman regular residential solid waste collections normally scheduled for collection on Friday 3 April will be collected on Saturday 4 April.
