It gets pretty hot here in Dubai most of the year, so that Arabian Sea comes in very handy. Either you’re inside, slathered with AC, or if you’re outside, you should be in that water! If you go out and keep swimming in a straight line, you’ll end up in Iran.

This is the view from the topside bar at the Four Seasons at Jumeirah Beach. These places are so intricately and perfectly designed. People that can design these sort of geometric landscapes that incorporate gardens and pools and beaches — that is a pretty cool skill. It’s one of those strange art-forms that I really appreciate, mostly because I find it to be completely unfathomable.
