Police can confirm that the driver of the Honda Civic, which crashed into a tree near the riding stables off Linford Pierson Highway Wednesday morning, has died.

Hospital staff confirmed a short time ago that Dwayne Cayasso, of George Town, passed away late Thursday morning.

His passenger, a 24-year-old man, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Enquiries into the collision continue.
