Police are searching for a man in the water off Pedro Castle – less than a week after the death of Justin Henry in the same place.

A 20 year old, named locally as Adam Rankin, is thought to have jumped from the rocks around 4.30pm on Sunday.

Police, the marine unit, and paramedics were at the scene looking for the man. 

The incident comes less than a week after the death of 16 year old Justin Henry whose body was found on the rocks in that area.  

A police investigation is underway in that case and it remains unclear whether the young man jumped, fell or was pushed into the water.

A candle lit vigil in Justin’s memory was being held on Sunday evening.
