Museum exhibit celebrates seniors

Cayman icon Miss Georgette Ebanks, 88, said she was “overwhelmed” and deeply thankful to see her life-story depicted in an attractive new exhibit which opened at the National Museum today (Thursday, 22 October 2015).
One of 2 remaining ladies of the 24 who petitioned in 1948 for women’s right to vote, Miss Georgette stays spry, is thoroughly engaged in community and family happenings and is an active Seniors socialiseGE Bd Chair Capt Paulparticipant on local talk shows.
Today’s event also celebrated seniors from all districts of Grand Cayman who socialized under marquees and enjoyed camaraderie, memories, food and beverages.
The joint museum and Department of Children and Family Services event celebrates Older Persons Month.
