The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is pleased to announce that “Road Impact: Cayman Islands”, a documentary and joint production of the RCIPS and Cayman 27, is now online on YouTube. http://www.cayman27.com.ky/2015/12/01/road-impact-cayman-islands-a-special-news-report

The documentary looks at the causes of road crashes and the impact they have on the lives of people involved in them and the wider community.

The documentary was entirely produced and shot here in Cayman, and aired for the first time last week on CITN/Cayman 27.

The idea for the project arose from the RCIPS’ participation in the Operations and Community Police Group for law enforcement in the Overseas Territories, and has been timed to coincide with our Holiday Safety Initiative, which began yesterday and focuses on improving road safety this holiday season as one of its primary objectives, especially in light of the number of tragic accidents that have taken place on Cayman’s roads this year.

The RCIPS is grateful to CITN for their wonderful work and our successful collaboration on this important project.

The road safety documentary features interviews from people who have lost loved ones through car crashes to those responsible for saving lives.
