Caribbean beauties shine bright at Miss World Talent

5 Caribbean beauties finished in the top 15 of the Miss World Talent competition, with 2 in the top 5.
Held last night at the Beauty Crown Theatre in Sanya, China, Miss Guyana was crowned the Miss World 2015 Talent Fast Track Winner. Singer-songwriter, Lisa Punch of Guyana, won the title after singing an original song, titled ‘One Last Time’. The song was penned in tribute to her deceased cousin, who she credits as the first person to encourage her. After sing ‘One Last Time’, Miss Guyana received a standing ovation from her fellow contestants, who were said to have been left in tears and spellbound by her flawless voice, captivating delivery, and emotional lyrics.
3 other contestants from the Caribbean placed in the top 15 consecutively, with Ms. British Virgin Islands finishing 11th, Miss Bermuda 12th and Miss Curacao 13th.
Miss World Talent is one element of the overall Miss World competition, that is scheduled to take place this Saturday December 19, at the same Beauty Crown Theatre in Sanya, China. The 65th Miss World Competition will see contestants from more than 120 countries and regions. 15 Caribbean nations will be represented, including the Bahamas, Belize, Puerto Rico, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, and Trinidad & Tobago.
