Fabrilink SEZC within Cayman Islands Enterprise City offers international training to Caymanians
Globak manufacturing company sets up an international engineering design centre in Cayman Enterprise City, and seeks to hire Caymanians who will be trained at irs world headquarters in Thailand
Fabrilink SEZC (“Fabrilink”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fabrinet (NYSE: FN), today announced its intention to establish an engineering design centre to supplement its existing operations within Cayman Enterprise City’s Internet Park. Fabrinet applies its proprietary technology and expertise to the engineering design and manufacture of special purpose components for its global clients in the information and communications technology sector. Fabrinet employs over 7,000 persons globally, including over 600 engineers; its customers include Lumentum and Oclaro.
Fabrilink announced it is seeking to hire 2-3 Caymanian Optical/Electrical Engineers with qualifications in optical systems, troubleshooting and design, and with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering or Physics.
In keeping with its reputation internationally as ‘an excellent employer and corporate citizen’, Fabrilink will send the successful Caymanian candidates to spend a year training with Fabrinet in Thailand and California before returning to Cayman to take up their Optical/Electrical Engineering positions with Fabrilink. The candidates will receive intensive world-class in-house training, including general skill development, managerial development and professional/ technical development, under the tutelage of some of the world’s leading experts in this specialized field.
