Man charged in stabbing on Watercourse Road in West Bay Thursday (21) Night

Just before 10PM on Thursday, 21 January, a woman was stabbed in her residence on Watercourse Road by a man whom she knows.  The woman did not receive life-threatening injuries and was taken to George Town Hospital and released the next day. The man, age 54, of West Bay, was arrested that night by police and has been charged with Attempted Murder.  He will be in court today (Tue 26).

Man Charged with Gross Indecency and Rape

A man, age 26 from Bodden Town, has been charged with six (6) counts of Gross Indecency and two (2) counts of Rape. The man appeared in court today and was remanded to custody. He has been in custody on another matter since September 2015.

The court issued restrictions on any media coverage of the case that might lead to the identification of a victim.

The man will appear before the Grand Court on Friday, 29 January.
