New releases of some of the biggest blockbuster films arrive every Saturday at 21hrs* on HBO.
Directed by Oscar® winner Clint Eastwood and starring Oscar® nominated Bradley Cooper and Golden Globe® nominee Sienna Miller, American Sniper airs on HBO, March 5th. Based on the memoir of his life, the film tells the story of Navy S.E.A.L. sniper Chris Kyle and how his pinpoint accuracy saved countless lives, turning him into a legend. After he returns back home to his wife and kids after four tours of duty, Chris finds that he can’t leave the war behind.
Earth’s mightiest heroes return on March 26th for Avengers: Age of Ultron. When Ultron – the peacekeeping operating system designed by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner – goes rogue, it is up to the Avengers to stop the villainous android from enacting his plans, and save the world. The star-studded cast features Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle (HBO’s House of Lies), Academy Award® nominee Robert Downey Jr., and Golden Globe® nominees Scarlett Johansson and James Spader.
Starring Oscar® winner Patricia Arquette and Oscar® nominee Ethan Hawke, Boyhood comes to HBO on March 12th. Directed by Richard Linklater (Before Sunset) the film follows the life of a young boy over the course of 12 years as he navigates the trials and tribulations that come with childhood, adolescence and ultimately adulthood. Boyhood also features performances by Ella Coltrane, Elijah Smith and Lorelei Linklater.
The third installment of the Insidious franchise Insidious: Chapter 3 airs on HBO on March 19th. Starring Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding), the film unveils how a gifted psychic uses her ability to contact the dead and help a teenage girl who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity. Insidious: Chapter 3 also stars Stefanie Scott, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell and Lin Shaye.
MAX CARIBBEAN
Starring Oscar®-winning actress Juliette Binoche and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (HBO’s Game of Thrones) A Thousand Times Good Night comes to MAX Caribbean on March 27th at 22hrs AST*. The film follows Rebecca, a warzone photojournalist who is torn between dedication to the job that puts her life at risk, and her loving husband and daughter who are scared of losing her.
Aloft, premiering on MAX Caribbean on March 13th at 22hrs AST*, stars Oscar®-winning actress Jennifer Connelly as a struggling mother who encounters the son she abandoned 20 years earlier. Aloft was written and directed by Claudia Llosa, a Peruvian filmmaker whose film, The Milk of Sorrow, was nominated for an Oscar® for Best Foreign Film.
