Washington DC – After much consideration the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) has selected Dr David Marshall to present at the 6th annual ACICS conference in Ft. Worth, Texas May 11-13th at The Worthington Renaissance in Sundance Square.

Dr. Marshall’s presentation is titled “Use Portfolios to Boost Student Achievement and help Compliance Documentation”.

“Measuring and documenting student outcomes are two of the easiest ways to help maintain compliance standards”, explains Dr. Marshall. “The use of simple portfolios at the course, program and degree/certificate level can enhance student learning, help your students see value in tuition paid and help you improve job placement rates.”

Dr. Marshall is the President of the International College of the Cayman Islands. In addition to 16 years of experience in university teaching, he has extensive experience with educational outcomes, assessment and compliance.

ACICS is the largest, oldest national accrediting organization of degree-granting institutions. The conference will focus on reinforcing the connections between educational quality, institutional effectiveness, and student success, and is open to all ACICS members and leaders of the postsecondary education sector.
