The two teams with most participants entering the 2016 DG’s 5K Challenge on Cayman Brac this Sunday (17 April) will win gift certificates for the recently refurbished Cayman Brac Reef Resort.
The top team will receive a $150-voucher to spend at the resort and the team with the second-highest level of participants will be given a $100-voucher.
This is in addition to the chance to win a number of exciting prizes in the event raffle, including the grand prize of a two-night stay at the Cayman Brac Reef Resort and a travel voucher from Cayman Airways.
Registration at the District Administration Building for the Brac event has also been extended to include Wednesday, 13 April; Thursday, 14 April; and Friday, 15 April from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as Saturday, 16 April at Cayman Brac Museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The entry fee is $20 for ages 14 and older, and $10 for ages 13 and younger. The 2016 DG’s 5K Challenge aims to raise $50,000 to help Cayman Heart Fund in its drive to buy a new ambulance for the people of the Cayman Islands.

The third annual DG’s 5K Challenge aims to raise $50,000 to help Cayman Heart Fund buy a new ambulance for the people of the Cayman Islands.
Spearheaded by Mr. Manderson, the DG’s 5K Challenge is scheduled for Cayman Brac on Sunday, 17 April and Grand Cayman on Sunday, 24 April.
“I urge as many people as possible to come along to the government buildings and register for this great event,” said Mr. Manderson. “We are raising money for an extremely worthy cause to ensure Cayman Heart Fund meets its target. The new ambulance could save your life or help save the life of a loved one. Please support us in our efforts.”
Entry fees are $20 for ages 14 and older, and $10 for children 13 and younger. Limited edition 2016 DG’s 5K Challenge t-shirts are available at registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
