Serious MVA on West Bay Road this morning (Fri 22)

This morning just after 8:30AM (time very approximate) a collision occurred on West Bay Road (near Wendy’s) between a motor vehicle and a bicyclist. The bicyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police are conducting an investigation on scene, but the road is not blocked.

An update will follow later today.

Robbery of Mini Mart in West Bay Yesterday Evening, 21 April

Just after 8:30PM yesterday, 21 April, police responded to a report of a robbery of Eddie’s Mini Mart (also known as Malcolm’s) on Birch Tree Hill Road in West Bay. According to a store employee, a man of about 5’4” in height, stocky with dark complexion, wearing a red shirt and carrying a backpack, entered the store brandishing a gun. The man demanded cash and cigarettes, then left on foot along Bramble Close.

No one was injured during the incident.
