Two Assaults at Wet Fete Party Last Friday, 29 April, on the Waterfront in George Town

Two men were assaulted at a party at the George Town waterfront last Friday night, 29 April, in separate incidents that are under investigation by police.
The party, called Wet Fete, took place at the old Tower Building site behind the Dairy Queen last Friday evening. Officers responded to a 9-1-1 dispatch at around 12:30AM regarding an unconscious man near the entrance to the party. The man had been beaten and was drifting in and out of consciousness when officers arrived. He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town and later released.
Police also later received a report regarding a second incident in which a man, age 22, was attacked by a group of males, also at the Wet Fete party. The man had been punched and kicked, and suffered a fractured jaw. The man underwent surgery at the Cayman Islands Hospital the next day.
