The cast of “Rundown” is serving up Rundown in the Cayman Islands
In anticipation of the upcoming premiere of popular comedy revue ‘Rundown’ cast members will dish out a serving of live theatre at Foster’s Food Fair in the Strand.
On Tuesday 10 May 2016 between 12noon and 2pm, Rundown cast members will dress in full costume, and interact with shoppers, encouraging all to purchase a plate of the classic Caymanian dish rundown, for a chance to win tickets to the opening night performance on 12 May.
“This is a unique way for us to let people know that the show is coming up. ‘Rundown’” offers a comical viewpoint of what’s happening in Cayman, so it’s fitting to have the cast bring some humour to people’s day as they enjoy a traditional Caymanian meal,” says CNCF Marketing and Development Manager Rita Estevanovich.
The show highlights the latest happenings in the Cayman Islands. It features a talented cast of performers mimicking the newsmakers of the day. Skits set for this year’s production include “Foolish People”, “Nosey Mother In-Law”, “Capitalism Gone Mad”, and “New Election Candidate”.
Tickets are currently on sale, at a cost of $25 for adults, $15 for seniors and children under the age of 12. Tickets can be reserved by calling 949-5477 or purchased online at www.artscayman.org/rundown. Outlets include the CNCF Box Office, Foster’s Food Fair (Strand), Funky Tang’s and Health Care Pharmacy in Grand Harbour.
“Rundown” begins 12 May and ends 29 May, with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows beginning at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. There will only be 10 shows in Grand Cayman and one show is planned for Cayman Brac on 4 June.
