The man, age 26, arrested on 17 June has now been charged with Attempted Murder. He will be in court this morning (20)

Just after 11PM last night, 16 June, the 9-1-1 Communication Centre received a report of a stabbing at the Dencle Bar on Mary Street in George Town. Officers responded, but the victim, a male, had already been transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by private car. At the hospital officers learned that the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds. He remains in the hospital at this time in critical but stable condition.

Enquiries conducted throughout the night led officers to a residential address in George Town early this morning where a man, age 26, of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of Attempted Murder. He is currently in Police custody.
