El Salvador Nationals among Interpol fugitives grabbed by U.S.

News Americas, WASHINGTON . D.C., Tues. June 27, 2016: Three nationals of El Salvador were among forty-five foreign fugitives – all subjects of active Interpol notices – busted recently by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Arrested were Emilio Eliseo Coreas Avelar, 23, Marleny Rodriguez-De Lovo, 43,  and Jose Angel Vanegas, 36  – all of El Salvador – and David Ernesto Perez-Viales, 34, of Nicaragua.

Coreas was arrested on June 22nd in Burke, Virginia, subject of an Interpol red notice from El Salvador for aggravated homicide and gang participation while Rodriguez-De Lovo was arrested on June 21 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, subject of an Interpol red notice from El Salvador for participating in an organized criminal gang in furtherance of illegal criminal activity.

Vanegas was arrested on June 23rd in Houston, Texas, subject of an Interpol red notice from El Salvador for aggravated homicide and gang participation.

The 45 individuals arrested during Project Red II were wanted for crimes in 22 different countries in Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
