Sudden death
Sudden Death On Saturday 30th July 2016, the Police received a report that a 42 year old male had collapsed at the George Town Hospital.
The male was at a party in George Town, when he complained of chest pains to a family member. The individual then drove himself to the hospital where he arrived around 10:58 pm. Following registration he collapsed. CPR was administered immediately, to no avail.
He was later pronounced dead at 11:49 pm. Enquiries into the Sudden Death are being conducted by the George Town Police Station.
House on fire
On Sunday 31st July 2016 around 1:43 am, 911 received a call that a small wooden house was on fire on Cruz Lane, George Town. Emergency Services and the Police responded to the scene and the fire was brought under control by 2 am.
As a result of the fire two Special Constables, who were part of the first responders were conveyed to the hospital by ambulance, due to smoke inhalation.
They were both treated and discharged. There were no other injuries as a result of the fire.
