Kittiwake earns Cayman Islands TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers”, said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”
The Kittiwake was sunk on January 5th 2011, and is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. The Kittiwake has received the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for the past two years in a row. CITA manages and maintains the wreck with the money earned from licenses and entry fees.
Keith Sahm, General Manager at Sunset House and CITA Watersport Director says,
“There is nothing as stimulating as you dive through the ship and think about what life was like, visiting the captain’s quarters, munitions room, mess hall, radio transmission room, propulsion room, and weather center.”
To visit the Kittiwake you must be on a Kittiwake Licensed Vessel. Commercial and non-commercial licenses are administered by CITA. The licence year runs from July-June, so now is a great time to buy a licence as the new year just began.
Please contact the CITA office for a complete list of Kittiwake Licensed Operators or to licence your vessel (949 8522 or [email protected]).
