The Queen’s Young Leaders Awards

The British Government through the Commonwealth organization is searching throughout the Commonwealth for exceptional young people as recipients of The Queens Young Leaders Awards. The awards are presented by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in London.

From Australia to Antigua, Canada to Cameroon, the Commonwealth is a remarkable international organisation, spanning every geographical region, religion and culture. It exists to foster international co-operation and trade links between people all over the world.

After 60 years of its existence, the Commonwealth is a remarkable organisation which remains a major force for change in the world today.

The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 53 independent countries, almost all of which were formerly under British rule.

“The search is on for inspirational 18-29 year olds from across the Commonwealth who are working to improve the lives of others. If you have the skills, passion and ideas to make a major difference to your community, or know someone who does, you can apply or nominate to become a Queen’s Young Leader”.

Award winners will receive:

  • A prestigious Award presented by Her Majesty The Queen
  • A week-long residential programme in the UK
  • Training and mentoring over the course of a year to develop skills and expertise
