Tamworth’s model mum Jodie is bound for Barbados after winning Miss Caribbean UK crown

A TAMWORTH mother has been crowned Miss Caribbean UK for 2016 after impressing the judges at a special ceremony.

Jodie Hodgeson, of Wilnecote, beat off 12 other entrants from across the country in a number of gruelling rounds to take the crown and she is hoping to use her victory to reignite her modelling career.

The 28-year-old spoke to the Herald about her success, as she represented Barbados during the competition, her inspiration and how she would encourage other girls to take part.

“I really didn’t think I was going to win and when my name was called out on the evening I just could not believe it,” said Jodie.
