St George’s show for Bishops

Last Monday (13) members of St. George’s Anglican Church held a reception for the Bishop of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands the Rt. Rev. Dr Howard Gregory and the Bishop of Kingston the Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Thompson. Also present was The Chief Justice of the Cayman Islands Anthony Smellie Trustee of St. George’s, Rev Mary Graham the Rector of St. George’s, Lemuel Hurlston Trustee of St George’s (who acted as Master of Ceremonies), other invited guests and members of St George’s congregation.
Apart from the excellent food and liquid refreshments the persons present were entertained by the St. George’s Pre-school children, young Mr. Dequan McConvey who played the trumpet and the St. George’s Line Dance team.
Every year members of the Diocesan Council come down from Jamaica to meet with the St George’s Church Committee and examine the books and reports from the various church organisations.
